Draft: to be reviewed. These terms are a working draft for the private beta and have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
Terms of Use
Last updated 26/09/2026
These terms apply when you use Toffee Planner ("Toffee"), provided by Beonline Ltd, a company registered in New Zealand ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Toffee.
Toffee is in beta
Toffee is still being built. Features may change, pause or be removed, and things may occasionally go wrong. We provide Toffee "as is" during the beta, and we will do our best to keep your data safe and the service running.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to use Toffee.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at hello@toffeeplanner.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
Your content
Your tasks, notes and categories belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run Toffee for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can download or delete your data at any time from Settings.
AI can make mistakes
Toffee uses AI to understand what you type or say. It can misunderstand a date, a category or a task. Toffee shows you what it understood before saving, and you are responsible for checking it. Please do not rely on Toffee alone for anything critical, such as medication times or legal deadlines.
Fair use
Please do not:
- use Toffee for anything unlawful or harmful;
- try to access other people's data or break our security;
- overload the service, scrape it or use automated scripts against it;
- resell or copy Toffee.
We apply daily limits on AI and voice use to keep Toffee fair and affordable. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.
Connected services
If you connect Google Calendar, your use of it is also covered by Google's terms. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
Paid plans
Toffee is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will explain the price and terms clearly before you are charged, and you will choose whether to subscribe.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on a task, date or reminder that was not checked. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other New Zealand law where those rights cannot be excluded.
Ending your use
You can stop using Toffee and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end the beta or close the service. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to download your data.
Changes to these terms
If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Toffee after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
